Remove flange or yoke with a suitable puller.
Driving the flange off will cause runout.
C. Remove pinion cage stud nuts or cap screws.
D. Remove bearing cover and oil seal assembly.
E.
Remove bearing cage. Original may have puller
holes.
The use of a pinch bar will damage the shims.
Driving pinion from inner end with a drift will
damage the bearing lock ring groove.
F. Wire shim pack together to facilitate adjustment on reassembling.
