It is important that the end plug adjustment is properly made to assure that it provides for a stop when the ball socket
moves outward. This eliminates the possibility of placing tension on the valve piston when the valve is actuated during
steering operation.
Always provide a dust shield to cover the ball socket opening.
A lubrication fitting is provided for the valve ball socket and stud. Lubricate as regularly as vehicle chassis lubrication
servicing.
Before placing the vehicle in operation, recheck all line fittings on the valve, power cylinder and pump. Check the end plug
in the ball socket on the drag link and on the power cylinder rod. The end plugs should be adjusted properly. First, turn the
plug in as far as possible then back it off about one-eighth of a turn to provide a minimum of clearance.
