Inspect. Refer to paragraph 2-8 for inspection procedures.
b.
Repair. Remove burrs, rough spots, rust or corrosion from apex spacer by filing with a metal file or
buffing with abrasive cloth.
c.
Replace. (figure 2-1).

Remove apex spacer (1) from apex (2).
(2)
Hold apex spacer (1) in between apex (2).
