Inspect. Refer to paragraph 2-8 for inspection procedures.
b.
Repair . Remove burrs, rough spots, rust or corrosion from apex pin by filing with a metal file
or buffing with abrasive cloth.
c.
Replace. (figure 2-2).

Hold apex spacer (1) and remove apex pin (2).
(2)
Slide apex pin (2) through apex (3) and apex spacer (1).
