SERVICE UPON RECEIPT2.4SERVICEUPONRECEIPTOFMATERIAL.a. General. When airdrop equipment is initially received from a supply source and issued to a using unit, the Itemswill be unpacked from the shipping containers and inspected by a qualified parachute rigger. The Inspectionperformed will be a technical/rigger-type inspection which will be conducted as authorized in paragraph 2.9. Uponcompletion of the inspection, the items will be tagged as prescribed in DA Pam 738-751. Serviceable equipmentmay then be entered either into storage or into use in airdrop operations, as applicable An unserviceable item willbe held and reported in accordance with DA Pam 738-750/MCO 4855.10.2-2
