ENGINE HARD TO START OR WILL NOT START - EXHAUST SMOKE PRESENT.
Step 1.
Starting aid needed for cold weather.
a.
If engine does not start do step 2.
Step 2.
Intake air system restricted.
a.
Inspect air cleaner inlet hood. If OK, do step 3.
b.
Contact Organizational Maintenance to remove intake
hood and air filter element. Replace air filter element and
clean intake hood.
Step 3.
Fuel contaminated.
a.
Step 4.
Contact Organizational Maintenance.
3.
ENGINE CRANKS. BUT WILL NOT START- NO SMOKE FROM EXHAUST.
Step 1.
No fuel in tank.
a.
Check fuel level in tank. If OK, do step 2.
b.
Service fuel tank.
Step 2.
Fuel filter/water separator plugged with water.
a.
Drain fuel filter/water separator. Refer to PMCS in
