Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair
a. Cleaning.
(1) Clean all metal parts in an approved
cleaning solvent; dry thoroughly.
(2) Wipe the diaphragm with a lint free cloth.
b. Inspection and Repair.
(1) Inspect the diaphragm for cracks, breaks,
punctures, and excessive wear.
(2) Inspect the lower face of the diaphragm
which contacts the exhaust port seat in
the cover for pits and grooves. Replace a
defective diaphragm as necessary.
(3) Inspect the body for cracks, breaks,
stripped, or damaged threads, and other
damage. Replace a defective body.
(4) Inspect the spring and spring seat for
