Remove the lubricating oil filter. Install a new filter ac-
cording to the manufacturer's specifications.
Pressure fill the engine with 15W40 lubricating oil
through the 1.8 inch pipe tap on the side of the oil
filter housing directly below the turbocharger oil
supply connection. Use 207 kPa (30 psi) to pressure
fill the system with a minimum of 3.6 L (1 U.S. gal).
Reinstall the drain plug and fill the oil pan to the high
mark on the dipstick.
CAUTION
Make sure the engine does not start when
you crank the engine by disconnecting the
fuel solenoid or positioning the shut down
lever in the stop position.
Use the starter to crank the engine for a maximum of
30 seconds, with two minute intervals, until oil
pressure registers on the lubricating oil pressure
gauge.
