Inspect.. Refer to paragraph 2-8 for Inspection procedures.

Repair. Repair burrs or rough edges by filing chain links with a metal file until smooth.
c.
Replace. (figure 2-14).
(1)
Remove chain (1) from grabhook hook (2).
(2) Using punch, remove pin (3) from coupling link (4).
(3) Remove lower half of coupling link (4), spacer (5) and chain (1).
(4) Slide chain (1) onto coupling link (4).
(5)
Install coupling link (4) on grabhook (6) with pin (3).
