3. Disassemble Shift Bar Housing.
NOTE
SEE ILLUSTRATION 4-32 FOR EXPLODED VIEW OF THE SHAFT BAR.
Turn out the 13 retaining capscrews, jar to break gasket
seal, and remove the shift bar housing from the
transmission.
Turn out the two capscrews and remove the tension
spring cover.
Remove the three tension springs.
