The fuel filter assembly is only removed as an assembly when replacement of the entire assembly is
required.
Removal.
a.
Close the fuel pump feed and return shutoff valves (handles perpendicular to the lines).
b.
Using a suitable container to catch any fuel, loosen the hose clamp (1, Figure K-29)
securing the rubber fuel line (2) to the outlet fitting (3) on the fuel filter assembly (4) and
disconnect the line from the fitting (3).
