Start the engine and vent one line at a time until the
engine runs smoothly.
External Pump Leaks - Repair
Caution: Make sure that the surrounding area is
clean before removing the leaking part.
Note: Accessible sealing washers and gaskets can
be replaced without removing the pump.

Replacing the Fuel Pump
Preparatory Steps:
Disconnect the fuel drain manifold.
Remove the injection pump supply line.
Remove the high pressure lines.
Disconnect the electrical wire to the fuel shut off
valve.
Remove the fuel air control tube, if used.
Removing the Pump
Disconnect all control linkage.
