The type of sewing machine,type of thread, the stitch range, andthe stitch pattern, if applicable,required to accomplish a sewingprocedure will be specified in theparagraph applicable to the item beingrepaired. All original stitching that iscut during the performance of asewing procedure will be removedfrom the applicable item. Immediatelyafter the accomplishment of a machinesewing procedure, trim thread ends toa point as close as possible to thematerial which has been sewn.a.StitchingandRestitching.Perform stitching andrestitching as follows, referring to table 3-2:(1) Lowering device assemblies. The stitchingand restitching made on lowering device should beaccomplished with thread that is contrasting in color tothe fabric being restitched. if contrasting color thread isnot available, thread of matching color may be used,providing all other specifications are met. Straightstitching and restitching on lowering device assembliesshould be locked by at least 2 inches at3-10
