Test the fuel pump in a manner similar to crane fuel pump test (par. 108). 248. Accelerator Pedal a. Removal. Remove the carrier engine accelerator pedal as instructed on figure 149. b. Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair. (1) Clean all parts with an approved cleaning solvent. (2) Inspect all parts for defective condition. (3) Repair or replace damaged parts as necessary. c. Installation. Install the carrier engine accelerator pedal as illustrated on figure 149. 249. Accelerator Linkage. a. Removal. Tag, disconnect, and remove the carrier engine accelerator linkage in numerical sequence as instructed on figure 150. b. Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair. (1) Clean all parts with an approved cleaning solvent. (2) Inspect all parts for defective condition. (3) Repair or replace damaged parts as necessary. c. Installation. Install and connect the carrier engine accelerator linkage in the reverse of the numerical sequence as illustrated on figure 150. 188
