lip seal). Do not scratch or nick the sealing edge

5. Drive the seal into the housing with installer J
9727 and handle J 3154-1 (Fig. 6) until it is
seated against the seal spacer (if used) or on the
shoulder in the housing bore. The installer
prevents damage to the seal by exerting force
only on the outer edge of the seal casing.
If it is necessary to install the oil seal with the flywheel
housing on the engine, place oil seal expander J 22425
