DISASSEMBLY - Continued
WARNING
Heating nut to a temperature of approximately 300F (149C) may be required to break down
thread sealing compound. Wear protective equipment while heating and handling parts.
Failure to follow this warning may cause injury to death to personnel.
3.
Remove retaining nut (Figure 5, Item 2).
4.
Remove piston (Figure 5, Item 3) and gland (Figure 5, Item 4) from rod (Figure 5, Item 1).

NOTE
Piston seal and expander ring should be cut to ease disassembly.
5.
Remove seal (Figure 6, Item 3), expander ring (Figure 6, Item 2), and two wear rings
(Figure 6, Items 1 and 6) from outside of piston (Figure 6, Item 4). Discard seal and wear rings.
6.
Remove o-ring (Figure 6, Item 5) from inside of piston (Figure 6, Item 4). Discard o-rings.
