Proceed as follows:1.Open drain valve, 1/4 turn.2.Drain until fuel appears.3.Close drain valve. Do not over- tighten.Fuel Filter/Water SeparatorEXHAUST SYSTEM MUFFLER AND PIPESInspect muffler and pipes for the following:1.Check all supports and hangers are intact.2.Check for exhaust leaks. Look for excessivecorrosion, holes and misaligned parts.COOLING SYSTEMCoolant SupplyCheck when cool. The coolant expansion tank is on theleft side of the hood. If below FULL when cold, addcoolant (50/50 mix of antifreeze AFC, MIL-A-46153, andclean water).RADIATOR1.Inspect radiator and hoses for secure mounting.2.Check for coolant leaks at hose, pipe fittings andjoints.FAN DRIVE BELT1.With engine off, press long vertical run of fan belt onright side of engine and measure belt deflection.2.If deflection exceeds 1/4-inch, the belt is eitherstretched or belt tensioner is defective.
