Alwaysshield eyes when working nearbatteries.2.REMOVE GROUND CABLE (3) GOING TOCURRENT SHUNT (4).a.Remove capscrew (1). Disconnect battery cableconnector (2) at shunt (4) (inside left-rear carrierframe).b.Remove nut (6) at battery terminal and removeground cable (3).WARNINGAlways remove negative batterycables at battery first. Positivebattery cables coming in contact withany part of vehicle while negativecable is connected to battery willcause sparking and possibleexplosion of battery gases.3.REMOVE BATTERY CABLES, AS REQUIRED.a.Remove nuts (6) on each end of battery cable tobe removed and remove battery cable.b.Remove cables (7), (8) and (9) by removingcapscrew (10), nuts (11), lockwasher (12) andflat washer (13). Discard lockwasher (12).INSTALLATION:WARNINGAlways install positive battery cablesat component first. Positive batterycables coming in contact with anypart of vehicle while negative cable isconnected to battery will causesparking and possible explosion ofbattery gases.1.INSTALL BATTERY CABLES, AS REQUIRED.a.Position battery cables as shown and connect tocomponents and/or battery terminals with nuts(6).b.Install cables (7), (8) and (9) with capscrew (10),nuts (11) new lockwasher (12) and flatwasher(13).8-107
