Air System Repair Summary

Air Crossover Tubing
8 mm and Common Screwdriver
and Torque Wrench
Intake Manifold Cover
10 mm Socket
Remove high pressure fuel lines, disconnect cold
and Gasket
starting aid, if used, and air crossover tubing.
Aftercooler and Gasket
8 mm, 10 mm Socket
Disconnect Cold Starting aid if used, remove air
crossover tube and drain coolant.
Turbocharger and/or
10 mm, 15 mm, 16 mm, 7/16-Inch
Disconnect intake and exhaust piping and
Gasket
Wrenches
remove crossover tubing.
Exhaust Manifold
15 mm Socket
Disconnect intake and exhaust piping, remove air
and/or Gasket
crossover tube and remove the turbocharger.
* Removal of some chassis parts may be necessary to gain access to some engine components. Follow the
equipment manufacturer's procedures and precautions for removing chassis parts.
