Lubricate the rings and piston skirts with clean
engine oil.
Position the rings.
NOTE
Refer to component section 01 for installation
of rings on pistons.
75 - 125 mm [3-5 inch] ring compressor
CAUTION
If using a strap type ring compressor, make
sure the inside end of the strap does not
hook on a ring gap and break the ring.
Compress the rings.
Lubricate the cylinder bore with clean engine oil.
