132. Shaft Packing Gland
a.
Removal. Remove the shaft packing gland as
instructed on figure 62.
b.
Disassembly. Disassemble the shaft packing
gland as illustrated on figure 63.
c.
Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair.
(1)
Clean all parts with an approved cleaning
solvent.
(2)
Inspect
all
parts
for
cracks,
leaks,
excessive wear, and other damage. Repair
or replace all defective parts.
d.
Reassembly. Reassemble the shaft packing
gland as illustrated on figure 63.
e.
Installation.
(1)
Install the shaft packing gland as illustrated
on figure 62.
(2)
Bleed packing gland and lines (par. 133).
133. Hydraulic Tubes and Fittings

Removal.

Drain lines and master cylinder.
(2)
Remove the hydraulic tubes and fittings as
instructed on figure 64.
