3-23. General
The air compressor is mounted in the vee of the engine
block, and is gear driven. The air compressor provides
compressed air for the air system.
3-24. Removal and Disassembly
a. Removal.
(1) Drain cooling system.
(2) Clean area around the air compressor and
fuel pump before removing the air compressor.
(3) Remove air compressor as shown in
