Observe length of cable end
protruding from cable socket and
clamp. If cable end extends
more than 2 in. (51 mm), adjust
cable so no more than 2 in. (51
mm) protrude. Excessive cable
protrusion can push cable out of
socket when hook block is
hoisted with plate to boom head.
Failure to follow this procedure
could cause DEATH or serious
injury.
NOTE
When counterweight has been
removed from anti-block switch,
the switch is shut off and LRT
110 Crane control disconnect
system has been deactivated.
Functions of raising winch, and
extending and lowering boom
will not operate. To use any of
these functions for the following
procedures, turn on anti-two
block BY-PASS switch. This is
to be done only as required.
Prepare to raise hook block up to boom head
by removing plate ( 1, Figure 5-3) from tool
box and place over dead end bracket on top of
hook block. The LRT 110 Crane should be
reeved with a two-part line for this procedure.
