WARNING
Stay clear of boom hoist cylinder rod while extending and retracting to remove air.
Serious injury to personnel may result if rod jumps unexpectedly.
7.
Close dipstick cap. Start engine and slowly extend boom hoist cylinder (Figure 14, Item 4) rod two times to
remove air trapped in cylinder. Then extend boom hoist cylinder rod to attachment point and shut engine OFF.
8.
Install pin (Figure 14, Item 5), rod eye (Figure 14, Item 3), new lockwasher (Figure 14, Item 2), and capscrew
(Figure 14, Item 1) to secure rod end boom hoist cylinder (Figure 14, Item 4).
9.
Remove supports from boom hoist cylinder (Figure 14, Item 4).
