(1) Clean all parts and dry thoroughly before

blades for chipping or pitting of radii. Determine wear by
measuring blade length at 1.0930 inches. Inspect fiat
surfaces for uniform polishing. Replace both blades
when one is defective. Assure that all moving parts
have freedom of movement without excessive
looseness. Inspect drive shaft tang for a distance across
flats of 0.305 inch. When tang measurement is less,
replace the shaft.
(3) Repair by replacing all defective parts.
Replace all packings and gaskets at reassembly.
Replace defective mounting hardware.
