152. General
The engine temperature is controlled by the
circulation of coolant through the coolant pump, which
forces the coolant through the engine water jackets and
back into the radiator for cooling, Until the engine is up
to operating temperature, all or part of the coolant
leaving the engine is bypassed, by means of a
thermostat, directly to the pump for recirculation.
Draincocks are located on the bottom of the radiator and
on the forward, left side of the engine block.
153. Hose, Lines, and Fittings
a. Removal.
(1) Drain the cooling system.
(2) Remove the hose, lines, and fittings as
