(2) Inspect all parts for bends, breaks, and
other damage. Replace defective parts

(1) Install the carrier engine radiator shroud
as illustrated on figure 81.
(2) Install the carrier engine fan (para. 146).
(3) Fill the cooling system to proper level.
148. Water Tubes, Hoses, and Fittings
a. Removal.
(1) Drain the cooling system.
(2) Remove the carrier engine water tubes,
hoses, and fittings as instructed on figure
b. Cleaning and Inspection.
(1) Clean all parts with an approved cleaning
solvent.
(2) Inspect the tubes, hoses, and fittings for

(1) Install the carrier engine water tubes,

(2) Remove the three fan belts and the hydraulic
steering pump belt (para. 145).
(3) Remove the carrier engine water tubes and
hoses from the water pump (para. 148).
(4) Remove the fan from the pulley (para. 146).
