INSTALLATION
NOTE
Steps 1, 2, and 3 explain installation for one lever; installation of remaining levers is the same.
1.
Install lever detent (Figure 2, Item 6) on shift lever (Figure 2, Item 5).
2.
Position shift lever (Figure 2, Item 5) in actuator assembly (Figure 2, Item 21).
3.
Install pin spring (Figure 2, Item 17) in actuator assembly (Figure 2, Item 21).
4.
Install ball (Figure 2, Item 16), spring (Figure 2, Item 15), and slug (Figure 2, Item 14). Repeat for opposite
side of center actuator assembly (Figure 2, Item 21).
5.
Install torsion springs (Figure 2, Items 2 and 13) on torsion spring shaft (Figure 2, Item 12). Insert spring
ends through mounting holes on actuator assembly (Figure 2, Item 21) and bend over to secure.
6.
Install shaft (Figure 2, Item 20), two spacers (Figure 2, Item 18), and three actuator
assemblies (Figure 2, Item 21).
7.
Install two spacers (Figure 2, Item 11) on each end of shaft (Figure 2, Item 20) and secure each end of
shaft (Figure 2, Item 20) with retaining ring (Figure 2, Item 10).
8.
Install gate plate (Figure 2, Item 27) on control assembly.
9.
Install position strips (Figure 2, Items 28, 29, and 30) on gate plate (Figure 2, Item 27).
10.
Install three ball knobs (Figure 2, Item 4) on levers (Figure 2, Items 1, 3, and 5).
11.
Install two side housings (Figure 2, Items 8 and 9) and extruded spacers (Figure 2, Item 19).
12.
Secure two side housings (Figure 2, Items 9 and 8) with two capscrews (Figure 2, Item 25) and new

Secure two extruded spacers (Figure 2, Item 19) with four capscrews (Figure 2, Item 22) and new split
washers (Figure 2, Item 23).
14.
Install two access caps (Figure 2, Item 26) and decals (Figure 2, Item 24).
