TM 5-3810-306-10WARNINGCheck the load chart for maximum loadat given radius, boom angle, and lengthbefore extending boom with a load.1.To extend boom, push TELE control lever forwardaway from you and hold until boom extends todesired length.WARNINGWhen extending the boom, the load willraise unless the cable is let out.2.To retract boom, pull TELE control lever back,toward you and hold until boom retracts to desiredlength.LOWERING AND RAISING HOIST CABLEWARNINGBefore lowering or raising the cable(load), ensure the area beneath the loadis clear of all objects and personnel.CAUTIONWhen starting or stopping the cable, donot jerk the control lever, jerking thelever causes the load to bounce, whichcould result in damage to the crane.NOTEWhen the load is stopped at the desiredheight, the hoist brakes will engage andhold the load as long as the control leverremains centered.1.To lower hoist cable, push MAIN hoist or AUX hoistcontrol lever forward, away from you, and hold untilhook or load is lowered to desired height.2-50
