INSPECT
EXPLOSIVE HAZARD
· DO NOT attempt to disassemble the M5 cartridge-actuated release assembly,
which has been sealed at the manufacturing source. Serious Injury or death could
result.
· Because of special handling and stowage procedures required with cartridge-
actuated devices, the release assembly IS NOT to be installed until immediately
prior to mating the container with the aircraft. The safety pin is to be removed only
during the preflight check.
Conduct a technical/rigger-type inspection in accordance with the instructions contained in paragraph 2 9.
REPLACE
a. Remove red warning flag from safety pin (Figure 2-32).
