Transmission to Engine - Continued
WARNING
Weight of transmission is approximately 1,100 lb (499 kg). Use adequate lifting equipment to
lift and support transmission. DO NOT lift over personnel or let personnel walk underneath
suspended load. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
5.
Support and align transmission to flywheel. Align protruding stud from drive plate face with mounting hole
in flywheel.
CAUTION
DO NOT force transmission at any time. Forcing transmission into pilot sleeve of flywheel
can preload crankshaft and cause engine and transmission damage.
6.
Push transmission into engine.
7.
Install 12 new lockwashers (Figure 20, Item 1) and capscrews (Figure 20, Item 2) to transmission
(Figure 20, Item 4) and flywheel housing (Figure 20, Item 3).
