Steering Tie Rod
a.
Removal. Remove the tie rod as instructed,
on figure 173.
b.
Cleaning and Inspection.
(1)
Clean all parts with an approved
cleaning solvent.
(2)
Inspect the tie rod for breaks, bends,
excessive wear, and other damage.
Replace defective tie rod.
c.
Installation. Install the tie rod as illustrated
on figure 173.
