WHEELS, TIRES, AND SHOCK ABSORBERS282.GeneralThe carrier is equipped with eleven 12:00 x 20, 14-ply rubber tires, eight on the rear, two on the front, andone spare. All wheels and tires on the carrier areinterchangeable and can be mounted in any position onthe axle. All studs and nuts are marked right or left andmust be installed accordingly on the proper side of thecarrier. The carrier has shock absorbers mounted onthe front axle of the carrier frame.283.Front Wheela.Removal. Remove the front wheel asinstructed on figure 174.b.Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair.(1)Clean the wheel assembly with anapproved cleaning solvent.(2)Inspect the wheel assembly for bends,worn mounting holes, and otherdamage.
