Position new gasket (Figure 19, Item 7) and timing housing (Figure 19, Item 8) on injection pump
(Figure 19, Item 6).
5.
Install ball (Figure 19, Item 3), new o-rings (Figure 19, Item 2), and locating fitting (Figure 19, Item 1) on injection
pump (Figure 19, Item 6). Do not tighten locating fitting at this time.
6.
Install cap nut (Figure 19, Item 4) and sealing washer (Figure 19, Item 5) onto timing housing
(Figure 19, Item 8).
7.
Tighten cap nut (Figure 19, Item 4) and locating fitting (Figure 19, Item 1) alternately and evenly until a torque
of 22 ft-lb (30 Nm) is obtained on cap nut and a torque of 29 ft-lb (39 Nm) is obtained on locating fitting.
