8.
Lower and tap differential assembly (Figure 5, Item 2) with a mallet to seat in axle housing.
9.
Remove lifting fixture.
10.
Apply thread sealant to 10 differential mounting bolts (Figure 5, Item 3) and install with washers
(Figure 5, Item 4).
11.
Tighten bolts (Figure 5, Item 3) to 58 ft-lb (79 Nm).

FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE
1.
Fill differential assembly with oil (TM 5-3810-305-10).
2.
Install front axle assembly (WP 0094).
3.
Install constant-velocity joints (WP 0099).
4.
Install tire and wheel assemblies (WP 0107).
5.
Place boom in resting position (TM 5-3810-305-10).
6.
Check for proper operation.
