4.
Remove fill plug and washer (Figure 2, Item 5) and eight bolts (Figure 2, Item 4) from wheel end
cover (Figure 2, Item 3).
5.
Remove wheel end cover (Figure 2, Item 3), thrust plug (Figure 2, Item 6), and o-ring (Figure 2, Item 2) from
wheel hub (Figure 2, Item 1) as an assembly. A punch and hammer may be required for this.
6.
Remove four sector plates (Figure 2, Item 7).
NOTE
DO NOT remove thrust plug from wheel end cover unless replacement is required.
7.
Remove o-ring (Figure 2, Item 2) and, if necessary, thrust plug (Figure 2, Item 6) from wheel end cover
(Figure 2, Item 3). Discard o-ring.
