NOTE
A damaged thrust bearing would be indicated by a roughness felt or heard when removing
coupling shaft and drive link. Replacement of thrust washer and bearing will be required if
roughness is detected.

Remove coupling shaft (Figure 6, Item 1) from housing (Figure 6, Item 2).
