(Refer to page 8-109.)REMOVAL:1.REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT(S).NOTEPropeller shaft from transmission tocenter bearing is shown. Usefollowing steps to remove andreplace all other propeller shafts.a. Scribe a mark across yoke flanges on both endsof propeller shaft to be removed.b. Support propeller shaft and remove fourcapscrews (1 and 4) and lockwashers (2 and 3).Discard lockwashers (2 and 3). Lower propellershaft to ground.NOTEPropeller shafts from transmission tofront axle incorporates a centerbearing (7). Use following procedureto remove bearing.c. Support drive line and remove two capscrews(5), washers (6), nuts (8) and jam nuts (9) to freecenter bearing (7) from chassis frame.d. Remove four capscrews (10) and lockwashers(11). Discard lockwashers (11). Removepropeller shaft from front axle.10-2
